Apple MacBook Battery Replaced and Returned Within 24 Hours
This case study covers a MacBook battery replacement for a Perth customer, including careful reassembly, testing and a 24-hour turnaround.
The Issue
A Perth customer, Chris, brought their Apple laptop, 13-inch MacBook Pro (A2338), to Computer Mechanics after experiencing battery issues. He wanted to find out whether the battery issue could be resolved or whether a replacement battery was required.
Chris wanted to get the issue sorted without being left without their MacBook for several days, so our team assessed the laptop and worked out the most suitable repair option.
What We Did:
After the laptop was brought in, our technician, Xander, handled the battery replacement from assessment through to testing.
1. Battery Replacement
Xander assessed the MacBook and confirmed that the battery needed to be replaced.
A compatible replacement battery was fitted carefully, with the laptop opened and reassembled as part of the repair. Once the new battery was installed, the MacBook was checked to make sure the repair had been completed correctly.
2. Careful Reassembly & Testing
Once the new battery was fitted, the MacBook was reassembled and checked to make sure everything was back in place and operating as expected.
For us, the job isn’t finished simply because the new battery is installed. We also want to make sure the laptop is operating as it should before it goes back to the customer.
3. 24-Hour Turnaround Time
The battery replacement was completed with a 24-hour turnaround, allowing Chris to get their MacBook back quickly rather than being without their laptop for an extended period.
