  • MS security fakes

    You'll be aware of hoax programs that claim to have scanned our PC and discovered viruses there. The latest of these impersonates Microsoft's catchily named Malicious Software Removal Tool. Everyone who owns a PC should know what Antivirus program they're running and be deeply suspicious of any new program that suddenly pops up and announces itself. Source.

    The Russian hacker known as Kirlios has tried to sell access to 1.5 million Facebook accounts he hacked - 5 cents each if the user has more than 10 friends and 2.5 cents each if the user has less than 10 friends.

  • Fake Anti-Virus software

    This problem is getting worse. If you get one of these fake programs on your computer saying you've got a virus don't click Yes, No or Cancel. It'll just install more malware. Hold down Ctl Alt Delete at the same time and when the dialogue box come up, shut down the web browser (Firefox or Internet Explorer). Then run your anti-virus and if that doesn't clear it up, call us immediately on 9325 1196. Here are some further tips on what to do.
